Gyro Tech™;'s Telescopic Slider Offers a "Green" Alternative to Swing Doors

MUSKEGO, WISCONSINGyro Tech™; GT 1175 Telescopic doors from NABCO Entrances allow businesses to change out swing doors for sliding doors and lower overall energy costs. Sliding doors have faster opening and closing cycles than standard swing doors, so they can reduce heat loss by up to 50%. GT 1175 Telescopic sliding door technology maximizes door opening in a limited space so it can easily replace a swing door without needing to enlarge the wall opening. The GT 1175 Telescopic provides a 54 percent of door opening to frame width -- 25 percent more door opening than a standard bi-part slider and it can be configured to accommodate virtually any door opening.

The GT 1175 Telescopic system combines space-savings with the elegance of a large, clear door opening. It also provides superior handling of two-way traffic.  Upgrading swing doors to GT 1175 Telescopic sliders eliminates the need for separate in/out doors and, because there is no swing path, there is no need for guardrails.

Like all GT 1175 Sliding doors systems the Telescopic comes standard with the versatile Acusensor 1B for precise activation and threshold sensing, or you can choose from several other advanced sensors to meet the specific needs of your volume and type of pedestrian traffic. Its durable, heavy-duty design is made to withstand demanding traffic conditions.  As part of NABCO’s flagship Whisper Slider line, it includes all the same exclusive features, like a motorized belt drive for whisper quiet operation, a large gearbox, NABCO Series “U” Microprocessor and large urethane door rollers for smooth and long lasting operation.
